About Us

Welcome to the Lodgepole Recreational Society — the heart behind the Lodgepole Community Hall and the spirit that brings our small but mighty community together.
We are a volunteer-run nonprofit dedicated to maintaining and revitalizing the Lodgepole Community Hall and creating meaningful events, programs, and opportunities for connection in Lodgepole and the surrounding areas, including Cynthia, Violet Grove, and Drayton Valley.
Our hall isn’t just a building — it’s where neighbours become friends, where stories are shared, and where memories are made. From community BBQs and holiday dinners to scavenger hunts, horseshoe tournaments, and live music nights, we aim to create inclusive, fun, and accessible experiences for people of all ages.
As stewards of the hall, we are currently working hard to complete major renovations — including a new heating system, roof repairs, new flooring, and other much-needed upgrades — to make the space safer, warmer, and more welcoming for years to come. Through fundraising, sponsorship, grants, and good old-fashioned community spirit, we are rebuilding something special.
We believe strong communities start with connection. Thank you for visiting our site and being part of what makes Lodgepole a place we’re proud to call home.
